After a few uses, 2 problems emerged: (1) the elastic stretched very easily so it no longer ensures a proper fit; and (2) one of the kneepads broke (i.e. the plastic protective cover separated from the rest of the kneepad).The inexpensive cost is not worth it so I would recommend that you pay the extra money and invest in a better set of protective gear.

Rollerblade Men's NewJack Street Skate Review

I had quit skating for about 8 yrs. And I wanted to get back in the game with a nice pair. So after lots of research, I chose these. The price was unbeatable, and the skates are great. The frames are kinda simple but they are smooth, they'll grind anything with no problems. The linear is very soft and comfortable, and the style is just sick. So far the only thing I don't like is the weight, it is kinda heavy, not a brick, but they're solid. It's not ahuge "problem", and the young'ens with their strong legs prolly won't notice. But all around this is a prefect skate. I even got some ground control featherlite 2's for them and that lowered the weight a lil bit. But I kept my TRS frames cos they are great as well. If your looking for a new skate for a great price this is a great choice. And remember you can change the linear, wheels, frames, laces or whatever so they are customizable. And I've even heard that replacement parts are available, but I dunno where.

Rollerblade Men's Speedmachine SX 90 Skate Review

These were the right balance for me light fast and smooth. About the only thing I miss from my last pair that were ancient heavy and finally the outer shell split. Was the ABT that they had. ABT stood for active brake technology. I guess Rollerblade does not make them any more.

Rollerblade Men's Twister 243 Skate Review

I owned the original Lightning TRS's in college twentysome odd years ago.... I have had those, the 3 buckle men's Fusion, the spiritblade or purple thingy skates that are womens which I forgot the name of. I purchased the Twisters 243 because they are the style of the original Lightnings and more. They are MY ultimate skate. THANK YOU Rollerblade! They fit like bedroom slippers and move like a dream. I move out with them. Fabulous! I don't say this often but 10 stars... forget 5 stars. Nice when some companies get back to basics.... I love this skate. Thank you !

Rollerblade Women's Spark 80W Skate Review

First pair of skates purchased after 15 years and they are pretty comfortable.Skated for 2 hours and no foot pain!I wanted a faster skate but decide to get these b/c the boot was comfortable -I could always change the bearings later on.why 4 stars?the foot bed is thin and offers very little arch support, I will most likely change them.& the brake offers no stopping support.I'm a pretty good skater and tried to skate home from the park in these and the brake just wouldn't slow me down enough to not go crashing into parked cars.Maybe I don't know how to use the brake, I still miss the old school roller skate rubber stop.However these skates are pretty fast and are comfortable.I would recommend them to anyone looking for new inline skates.
p.s. I bought mine at a brick and mortar store and paid 30$ more than listed on amazon. There was no customer service and limited selection.

Rollerblade Skate Bag 2010 Review

This Rollerblade brand bag for inline skates is very lightweight but large enough to hold comfortably my SpeedMachine 10 skates which have a very long frame (100mm wheels + brake), as well as padding and helmet. There is a large mesh pocket on the outside (too small for a helmet but it will hold wrist guards and knee and elbow pads), and a small zippered pocket inside to hold a wallet or a couple of tools.
You can carry the bag using the adjustable shoulder strap, or the comfortable lined handle.
This inexpensive bag is nothing fancy, but it's well designed and very convenient, and just big enough to fit the largest skates. Recommended.

Rollerblade Junior Pro 3-Pack Protective Gear Review

These pads, especially the knee pads, have been dropped on multiple times. They are badly scuffed, but our 7-year-old son is not! These pads have given our son more confidence to learn to roller blade because he is not afraid to fall. Consequently, he is aggressively testing his limits on the skates and his skill is improving dramatically in a short time.

After watching Disney on Ice and then the Winter Olympics, our son is keenly interested in skating. He reenacts skating scenes (speed skating, figure skating, humorous scenes, etc) complete with falls. The pads enable him to fall freely, even joyfully, as they keep him pain free.

The pads are easy on/off - our son can mostly do it for himself. The knee/elbow pads have two attaching mechanisms: an elastic sleeve into which you slide the leg/arm, and velcro retaining straps for extra hold. He needs a bit of help with the final wristguard strap that wraps completely around the wrist. He'll soon manage this as well. The pads are clearly marked right/left so you put it on the correct knee/elbow.

In addition to a good helmet, the only other item I would recommend are a pair of gloves (for beginning skaters). Fingers extend beyond the wrist guard and are subject to scraping during falls. In summary, we like this product. Our son likes it because he can learn to skate without fear of knee, elbow, wrist pain. We (parents) like it because we are confident that our rough-and-tumble son is well protected.

Rollerblade Crossfire TFS Inline Skates Review

I didn't buy these from amazon, but I wanted to write a review to level out the terrible one star review the previous person gave these skates. Their great skates if you're just interested in fitness skating. The included bearings are a little weak (SG7's) and I would recommend that you step up toABEC 9's if you want to get any more speed out of them. The wheels are pretty good, 82mm (size) 82A (hardness). For those who don't know, the hardness rating (durometer) tells you how hard the wheels are. Extremely soft wheels, such as 78A's, will be best for riding on rough concrete. The softness will help the skates absorb bumps and make for a more comfortable ride at the cost of speed. Extremely hard wheels, such as 90A's, are better suited to skating indoors. The harder the wheels, the faster (and rougher) the ride. These skated meet in the middle, but may leave much to be desired if you're looking for speed. The TFS fastening system is amazing. One pull on the disk and your skates are perfectly tightened. The mechanism seems very sturdy, I haven't had any problems. The skates also have a ratcheting buckle system. If you've ever had skates that have the buckle strap around the ankle, you know how much of a pain it can be to get it tight. The Crossfire TFS are great skates for intermediate skater; a great stepping stone toward the Radical 90's or other speed skates.

K2 Athena Women's In-Line Skates Review

I love these skates! My first time using them was a little painful. They were a bit tight, but all I had to do is loosen the strings up a little and they felt so much better my next time around. They work great and provide a pretty nice, smooth ride. Not to mention they look good! Much better then my cheap Target pair.
